PROFESSOR DR. FADIL HOCA, THE FOUNDING RECTOR OF VIZYON, CHAIRED A SESSION AT THE TURKOLOGY RESEARCH WORKSHOP IN NORTH MACEDONIA


Under the auspices of Turkey's Ambassador to Skopje, Mr. Fatih ULUSOY, and with the participation of the President of the Turkish Language Association, Prof. Dr. Osman MERT, the "Workshop on Turkology Studies in North Macedonia" was held at the Skopje Yunus Emre Institute on May 22, 2024.

The opening ceremony of the event was attended by Turkey's Ambassador to Skopje, Fatih ULUSOY; President of the Turkish Language Association (TDK), Prof. Dr. Osman MERT; Education Counselor Prof. Dr. Orhan KURTOĞLU; Rector of International Vision University, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Vecdi CAN; Rector of International Balkan University, Prof. Dr. Lütfi SUNAR; Educational Policies State Advisor at the Ministry of Education and Science of North Macedonia, Gönül BAYRAKTAR; President of MATÜSİTEB, Tahsin İBRAHİM; Director of the Office for Educational Development, Abdülfeta FETA; Acting Director of the Skopje Yunus Emre Institute, Talip ERDOĞAN; Country Representative of the Turkish Maarif Foundation, Mehmet BARAN; as well as department heads, academics, and students representing various universities.

Following the opening speeches, the first session of the workshop, consisting of three different fields, was chaired and evaluated by the Founding Rector of International Vision University, Prof. Dr. Fadıl HOCA. Panelists for this session included Prof. Dr. Lokman TURAN, Dr. Melek NUREDİN, Prof. Dr. Mehmet SAMSAKÇI, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyhan İBRAHİMİ, Dr. Sinan KAZANCI, and Research Assistant Banu İSMAİLİ.

The second session of the workshop, which continued throughout the day, was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nazım İBRAHİM, a professor from the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Skopje Faculty of Philology. Panelists for this session included Prof. Dr. Aktan Ago, Prof. Dr. Osman Emin, Prof. Dr. Raşit KOÇ, Dr. Yudum GÖRMÜŞ, Dr. Duygu ÇAĞMAN, and Research Assistant Berna BEYOĞLU.

During the panels, the research conducted so far by Turkologists in North Macedonia in areas such as Classical Turkish Literature, Modern Turkish Literature, Turkish Folk Literature, Turkish Language, and Turkish Teaching were introduced and evaluated.
